Have a Cup @ Padi House, Sri Petaling

It’s drizzling and I got a call to meet up for a cuppa. Thus, we head over to Padi House, at Sri Petaling.

The entrance of this cafe displays an interesting array of pastries ^_^ I had set my eyes on the Cheese cake before I even enter the place XD

Upon going up, as we are trying to find a cozy place to relax, I got distracted by the smelly second hand smoke. Yes, people smoke up there. Sighed, I could not understand why would they let people smoke in such nice, cozy place – totally mood spoiler!

When we finally seated, I ordered Roasted Almond Latte, Ice Blended Passion fruit yoghurt and Nachos with Salsa.

The foreigners waiters are slow and having difficulty in understand what we trying to enquire – I understand the cheap labour, but with language as a barrier, the dining experience has totally disturbed! Not to mentioned the ages they took to gey my latte, which tasted like Nescafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Due to the long wait, I try to waive for a pastry menu…and yet they don’t have, in which they expect me to walk down the stairs and move to the entrance to order one TINY slice of cake T_T Fine, I’ll just order the most familiar name I have in my list T3T

Finally, the ready-t0-serve Orginal Cheese cake travelled from entrance, up the stairs, cross the alley to reach my table. The cheese cake was rather dry, but I can still taste the cheese, and it’s really good =] Later,came disappointing Roasted Almond Latte, the menu mentioned hot…. but the drink came in juz one degree above room temperature >_<

Next, the Ice Blended Passion fruit yoghurt was acceptable =] And the Nachos Dip, the Salsa, is wonderful! Even greater than TGI! The umami taste of the tomotoes dices, the Coriander spikes and the spiciness is addictive! We even get them to add on another bowl of Salsa Dip! After the wonderful bites of nachos, we decided to order another Beef Tacos =] This time, the food came in hot and appetizing, the Mozarrella is chewy on the top, with tomato dices supporting the minced beef, the Tacos are serve with standard!

Overall, the food in Padi House is rather cheap compare to other cafe like StationOne, yet the food taste better too. The only downside is that the drinks..sighed. Perhaps it’s not my lucky day T_T

L’Occitane Very Precious Cream

I always wonder how to pronounce this name, till I finally got the will to google and found out how to pronounce the name from it’s very own website.

This L’Occitane Very Precious Cream is really, really precious. First few application I already notice subside of my oil seeds. AMAZING!
However, this product is rather creamy for me, as the initial was to fight wrinkles and anti-aging. I’m too young for this XD

A product I will recommend for lady with extremely dry skin where the aging fact has prevent your skin to retain more moisture. Cheers.

Lancome Visionnaire

Of one special occasion, I get sachets of samples of this Lancome Vissionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector. On the sachet it mentioned it could help on wrinkles, pores, evenness.

Honestly, I gotta say, this is by far the BEST BEST serum I used!

First, it is not oily at all, absorbs in a glance!

Second, my redness, scars visibly brightens! My face is not much brighter, and touch wood, no more ******!

A great product that I shall recommend for people with combination skin, sensitive like me! A must have =]
I use this product after toner, then proceed with BB balm. Few days after application, my skins are softer, and most importantly, I noticed improvement when applying BB Balm, it’s much easier to apply now!!!

Tea @ Winter Warmest, The Curve

Away from the hustle bustle of the city, I stepped into the cozy, floral tea house, Winter Warmest at the Curve.

The interior is very warmly set, with floral wallpaper, floral printed table cloth, and most amazingly, the luxury display of tea sets. The wooden furnitures inside the tea house resemblance the settings of English Cottage -  LOL, pardon me, I never really been there XD but the the room does give me a sense of tranquility and let me really relax. However, one thing that I couldn’t stop wondering was why would they station a rather large view-blocking counter in the center facing the entrance – this has been very troublesome for me to signal the waiter for order and bill…

Observed the peacock tea cup they served with my Irish Cream Milk tea, the tea is smooth with fragrance and calming, I stopped chirping the moment I tasted the first sip. However, when I tasted the food that came along with my After set, I started complaning again.

The first appetizer salad was disappointing, the lettuce was not fresh at all, not to mention the plate settings, awful, awful!
Then came the Macaroni Bake, which was rather tasty but I couldn’t taste the chesse T3T
Then lastly, came the Dessert – very commercial low cost pudding >_<

Overall, I will recommend this place for afternoon tea, yes, just tea.

BB Craze

 

I don’t remember since when I start hearing BB cream here, BB cream there and in the end I got intrigued and went on checking what’s BB Cream. I even went further by trial the product personally =]

Yesterday, I went to Berjaya Times Square with Kymme, to check out a suitable BB cream for her.

I had tried the following both, and personally I prefer cream type over balm.

Smooth texture, easy to apply, leave the face glowing in radiance

When applying Estee Lauder Cyber White BB Creme, as the product title suggests, my face does appear more radiance, smoother and bright! It conceals my redness perfectly, and most impressive is the ease in application. I can just dab on my face and dab-dab-dab to complete the whole procedure. There’s only one think I dislike from Cyber White BB Creme – that’s after application, the surface will have those sparkling particles, which was suppose to make the face glow -  I kinda worried it might clogged my pores LOL

Great concealing effect, but rather thick in texture thus requires more time to apply

This BB Magic Balm from Etude House was discontinued. It’s a great product, and Kymme was convinced to purchase a BB cream due to the smooth appearance she observed from my face after I applied this balm. It has great concealing touch and my pimples stopped since I applied this balm as a I use this product as a replacement over my sunblock from BodyShop (Vitamin C with moisturizer) which had been too creamy for my face and cause break outs >_< The only trouble I have with this balm was it was discontinued and it requires sometimes to apply due to the rather thick balm texture.

Personally, I will continue to use BB cream in replacement of my sunblock, as all this years I had had enough with the oily sunblock XD now I’m resurrected by BB cream LOL Cheers!!!!

Soupy Beef with On the Spot Handmade Noodles

It’s fresh! It’s handmade! It’s freshly doughed, rolled, pulled, boiled upon order and serve!

This stall of Soupy Beef Noodle is located the Taste of Asia Food Court and Berjaya Times Square. Customers can choose from a range of different noodles ranging from flat, thin, normal, and etc. The chef has a poker face, who appears stern at first glance but cook with superb profession!

I tried the normal noodle but my favourite is still the flat type =] It has more chewy nature and you can observed the chef’s skills from how thinly the noodle gets flatten till it is rather transparent after cooked. The soup is of clear beef broth with savoury touch, the noodle has it’s own unique QQ texture that when eat along with the soup will give you a sensation of warmth and joy! The beef cubes, are given in generous amount and certainly tender!!

One bowl of beef noodle is served with a small dish of pickles and dry chillies, at RM 6.80 only, some like to pour in the chillies flakes to make the soup spicier, some just rather enjoy the broth sweetness alone – like me. Upon order, you could also decide on whether you want it spicy or not, the cashier lady is of round face, round eyes will ask you that question. Do not underestimate her, she can dough the noodle too!

Of one special occasion, I get to taste both sifu’s skills at one meal, and I gotta says, the Mr. Chef with Square stern face is definitely better, the noodle can really be flat and translucent! LOL!
